21 August 2018

There are only four days left before the Bhumibol Dam Mountain Bike, one of the largest cycling events in Thailand. More than 1,000 athletes have already signed up to participate. Distances range between 10 and 60 km.

The first day, 25 August, includes several segments. A 60 km mountain bike race for both male and female participants starts at 8 a.m., traveling Highway 1 (Phahonyothin Road, Tak-Lampang) in Mueang Tak district to Bhumibol Dam in Sam Ngao district. A 20-km tourism mountain bike race starts at 8 a.m. to Ban Tha Pui. Shorter segments include an 18-km family mountain bike race and a 30-km International mountain bike race.

The 30-km Bhumibol Dam International Mountain Bike Championship, comprised of three laps, takes place on 26 August.

Winners of the 18th edition of the championship will receive prizes including shirts, medals, lunch coupons, cash and bags.
